These paints are produced using traditional recipes where processing of raw materials is kept to a minimum and uses renewable resources that are plentiful in supply such as plant oils and minerals. The paints are hygroscopic, allowing walls to breathe, and provide matt, wipeable opaque paints for interior use. There are also a range of waxes, oils, colour washes and glazes, along with wallpaper paste and maintenance lotions to provide healthy, practical and sustainable care products for home interiors.
The nutshell system is based on purchasing a white base layer, which can either be used on its own, or by adding nutshell pigments, any colour can be created. There are standard recipes available to create popular shades, but the colour combinations are as large as your imagination! nutshell provides a contemporary range of colours for interior design and eco-building.
